Citydle is an analogue of the well-known Wordle puzzle game. However, here the player has to guess the names of cities. All scrambled words refer to famous locations or capitals. Every day the puzzle will change tasks, and players have only a few attempts to find the right option.

✅ How to play Citydle

In front of you is a game board with five lines. This is the number of attempts in which you need to guess the scrambled word. At the top is a list with a list of popular cities. In the beginning, the game gives you a preliminary random location with an indication of landmarks. This city should be used as a starting point. Gradually selecting locations, the user must come to the desired option. If the row has turned green - you have won.

How to use hints

During the round Citydle marks your options with coloured hints:

• grey: wrong option, the city is not in this location (country, continent);
• orange: the continent is correct, but the city itself is incorrect;
• yellow: the city you are looking for is in the same country and on the same continent, you are almost there;
• green: completely correct.

In addition to colour illumination, Citydle gives clues in the form of distance and direction. The greater the distance, the further you are from the hidden location. The arrow is used as a compass. It indicates in which direction you should move in order to find the right version of the city.

Citydle gives you a unique opportunity to test your knowledge in geography and take a virtual journey. The puzzle is also cool because it forces the player to think and analyse his moves. Every little thing (distance, direction of the arrow) plays an important role in finding the right location.
